Corus increases quarto plate by L80/t

Corus has announced it will raise the UK price of reversing mill plate by £80/t (S1261) for new bookings for delivery after 3 August. The rise is due to robust demand. The increase will push standard grades to a delivered base price of around £726/t in the UK, according to market sources. The new price will be 40% higher than the £518/t base price in January.
